Intent to maybe, if you’re lucky and Niger can swing it, and you can get the money out, to um, buy some yellow cake from Niger isn’t exactly the same thing as ACTUALLY HAVING it is it?

So let’s just run up the balance sheet:

Iraq – No WMDs, country wrecked, terrorism/death high
NK – WMDs, virtually no reaction from the US.
Iran – WMDs or on the way to them and the US?

Right. Let’s just ditch the whole “we went into Iraq for WMDs” fable and replace it with, “we wanted to remake the ME in our image”. These are neo-cons, not realists. They seriously believe you can break a country down and build it back up the way you want.
